Earlobe Reconstruction

Piercing your ears puts the earlobes at risk for stretching, tearing and even a benign growth on scar tissue called keloid scarring. Additionally, because of their exposed location, earlobe tears are often split and very visible. Earlobe reconstruction surgery can fix this damage and repair your torn earlobes or elongated piercing tracts. Earlobe reconstruction is a relatively simple procedure done in the office with local anesthesia where the surgeon cuts away the healed skin on the inside of torn earlobe and sutures the fresh edges back together to fix the tear, elongation, or scarring.
